Langudi Buddhist site located near Jaraka under Dharmasala block in Jajpur district is associated with the Pushpagiri Mahavihara. The flourishing university which attracted scholars & monks during its peak was partly excavated only recently.  Among the artefacts & other findings there includes rock-cut stupas, mahastupa, monasteries, rock cut caves with Buddhist art etc. Langudi hill as a learning site flourished between 1-11 century AD & showcases Odisha’s (ancient Kalinga) pivotal role as a major hub for Buddhist study and practice in ancient times. The massive popularity of nearby Buddhist sites of Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri and Udayagiri, have often ignored Pushpagiri i.e Langudi. This curated tour is an attempt by Aitiha to spread awareness of the beauty & tranquility of Langudi.

Our charges are inclusive of cab rentals, guide fees, veg breakfast, toll/entry/parking fees & tea at evening but excluding lunch, camera entry fees & any personal expenses by participants etc. In case of any additional/revised & incidental group expenses at sites, it shall be collectively borne by the participants (excl the Aitiha team & cab rider).

Sites to touch: The tour shall start with a visit to Langudi hills, then Kaima monolithic elephant followed by visit to Tarapur Museum

Imp Notice: Those planning to join the day tour from outside Bhubaneswar are requested to be on time beforehand to avoid getting missed out. Those travelling overnight via local bus/train are requested to reach 01 hour before the scheduled time in Bhubaneswar. It’s always better to reach & stay overnight at Bhubaneswar before the tour starts. Remember, the tour will not stop or be delayed accommodating you, in case you are late beyond the grace time of 15 min. The return journey from the last site point shall commence keeping 2-3 hours in hand for traffic & other unavoidable circumstances. In case of detention of vehicle beyond the stipulated time, additional cab charges shall be levied. Hence, guests are required to manage the time properly so that the touch pints are covered well in time.

Registration & payment open till 6 PM of 28th Jan 2026 (Wed). You must pay online in full (account details to be shared om request) & register yourself for the said tour through our portal’s event registration page & then register yourself online. No cash payment option available.

We shall move in a standard AC vehicle on sharing basis for the tour. However, if any participant wishes, he/she can opt for ‘Bring Your Own Vehicle‘ (four wheeler*) option at their own cost but need to follow the pilot vehicle of Team Aitiha. Breakfast shall be arranged on the wayside stalls en-route as per available veg items excl any sweets. For lunch, you need to pay your part as per your food preference picked at any hotel en-route. If you are not comfortable with the breakfast or lunch provided or with medical restrictions, you can always carry your own food/fruits.

Wear comfortable clothes as per climate & act responsibly. Please carry your essentials with you which may include any medicine, umbrella/cap, camera etc. Don’t forget to carry your power bank, mobile battery charged, camera ready with battery fully charged & memory card cleaned.
