Sites to visit: Banapur, named after Banasura. was once the ancient capital region of Sailodbhava dynasty & later on passed hands to Eastern Gangas & then feudal lords. There are quite good numbers of heritage sites in and around Banapur.  The main attraction of this tour will be the magnificent Dakhya Prajapati Temple at Banapur Town, built by the Eastern Ganga dynasty. The tour will touch the temple of Maa Bhagabati who is the presiding deity of Banapur, & thereafter the picturesque Salia Dam which is near Banapur. Finally there will be boat ride & bird watching at Mangalajodi wetlands during evening golden hours, Please carry umbrella/cap, zoom lens camera (if any), binoculars (if any) and wear non flashy clothes so as not to disturb the migratory birds at Mangalajodi.
