Presenting Aitiha’s maiden venture to the exotic Kerala state on a 4 Nights 5 Days (4N5D) tour. This nature tour explores the enchanting beauty of Kerala touching selected sites at Munnar, Thekkady & Alleppey with pick-up & drop back at Kochi.

It’s an attempt by Aitiha with touring dates kept open for our customers to pick dates as per their convenience. Day-I >> Kochi to Munnar travel (140 km/4 -5 hrs) 

Arrival at Ernakulam railway station/Kochi airport & pick up, then proceed to Munnar by road.

Munnar, the green carpeted beautiful hill station of Kerala, is one of the most loved holiday spots. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here we find Neelakurinji, the exotic violet flower blooming once in every twelve years.

En-route sight seeing- Cheeyappara Falls, Valara Falls, Pallivasal Falls, Attukal Falls, not to miss the lush green hill route drive from Kochi to Munnar.

Day-II >> Munnar sightseeing (full day)

Visit Eravikulam National Park to view the highly endangered mountain goats – the Nilgiri Tahrs. Then to Mattupetty Dam & Echo Point The dam is flanked by forests and a vast expanse of grassland on one side and tea plantations on the other.

Sightseeing Points – Eravikulam National Park -Top Station, Mattupatty Dam, Echo Point, Shooting Point, Kundala Lake, Tea Museum & Tea Plantation, Blossom Park, Pothamedu View Point.

Day-III >>Munnar to Thekkady (120 kms /4 – 5hrs) 

Morning proceeds to Thekkady (name derived from teak) & reach there by noon. Periyar means big river & around its Lake, the sanctuary is built, for boating. This is probably the only sanctuary in India where one can have the unique experience of viewing the wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat.

Sightseeing Points – Periyar Lake Boating, Elephant Camp, Spice Plantation & not to forget enjoying the road trip from Munnar to Thekkady.

Day-IV >>Thekkady to Alleppey (170kms/4 – 5hrs)

The morning after breakfast proceeds to Alleppey & reach there by noon. Alleppey (Alappuzha), the ‘Backwater Paradise’ of Kerala is well known for its house boats tourism on the turquoise Vembanad Lake, has enchanting backwaters, scenic beauty, azure lagoons, and other canal cruising. Rightly it’s called the ‘Venice of India’.

Stay the full day inside the floating hotel (house boat), enjoy freshly cooked meal while cruising on the canal & viewing the daily life of Kerala people on the banks. Experience the night stay in the private houseboat after enjoying the dinner on board.

Day-V >>Alleppey to Kochi Drop (60kms/1.30hrs)

Have breakfast & travel back to Kochi from Alleppey

Kochi or Cochin in Ernakulam district is an emerging cosmopolitan city and is the commercial capital of Kerala, India. Popularly known as the Queen of Arabian Sea, Kochi is a place with deep roots in history and its streets exude an old-world charm; a place with beautiful monuments and a variety of linguistic and ethnic communities. Kochi local sightseeing (depending on time available & additional charge) – Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica Church, Chinese fishing nets at Fort Kochi, Marari Beach etc. Try spices shopping at Kochi Spice Market, saree shopping at Jayalakshmi Silks & Lulu Mall & handicrafts from Kairali.

Finally, boarding train/flight back to home with loads of memories to cherish.

The ‘Exotic Kerala Tour’ is for all age groups & the price includes cab charges from Kochi to Munnar/Thekkady/Alleppey & dropping back at Kochi. It also includes the overnight hotel stays at Munnar (two days) & Thekkady & houseboat at Alleppey. Things not included in the tour are train/flight to Kochi & back, food & water, optional activities at site, entry tickets & other incidental expenses, Kochi sightseeing etc. Any additional orders/services at hotel or excursions not in list will attract additional charges.

The limited seats tour shall start from Kochi (say at Ernakulam railway station, hence all needs to be available at meeting point at early morning, It’s advisable to reach Kochi beforehand & stay overnight at a local hotel at own cost. If you travel by train, keep additional 2+2 days for travelling to Kochi & back. Flight users can plan their travel accordingly as per direct/connecting flights. Each tour has a deadline for booking, please get in touch with us for details. Any enquiries for the said tour beyond the date may be considered subject to seats availability & hotel rooms availability.

Notes for Exotic Kerala Tour:-

# Standard AC sharing vehicle shall be used for touring & its capacity depends on total head counts. Carry limited luggage for easy mobility. Maintain covid protocols by wearing face masks & using hand sanitizers regularly.

# Carry your Aadhaar Card (original & multiple photocopies) as ID proof for Indians. Keep its soft copy in mobile too. Mail it to us while registering for the tour. Please mail all the docs to us as mentioned here at infoaitiha@gmail.com while registering for the tour.

# Make sure you have Final Covid (2 jabs) vaccination certificate’s multiple photocopies of at least 15 days old or recent negative RTPCR test report within 72 hrs before travelling & keep its soft copy in mobile too. Keep in mind that the visiting state’s current covid advisory is applicable & binding.

# Hill stations like Munnar will be having chilling winter, hence carry warm clothes. It needs average fitness to trek/walk in hilly areas, hence, its advisable to wear sports shoes.

# The hotel rooms are star hotels & fully air conditioned. Both hotel rooms & houseboats occupancy shall be on twin sharing basis only. If there is on odd person, he needs to adjust with additional mattress. The hotel details at site & houseboat info shall be shared before the tour.

# While entering any religious sites, there might be dress codes for it which we need to respect & abide. You can either carry it or buy it locally. One need to be aware of the rules for using of mobile & cameras inside restricted premises. For general guidelines, terms & conditions, Do’s & Don’ts, kindly refer our portal.
